Zhangeldy Syrymbet

Zhangeldy Syrymbet, Councilor of the Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan to the United Nations, is the Co-Chair for the Working Group on Articles 6 + 7 of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. He is responsible for Chairing discussions on the Positive Obligations of the Treaty and how to best provide victims assistance and environmental remediation within the context of the treaty. RTT was honored to have Syrymbet speak at our Nuclear Justice Campaign Launch in his capacity as the Co-Chair.

H.E. Ambassador Teburo Tito

Ambassador Teburoro Tito, the Permanent Representative of Kiribati to the United Nations, is a dedicated advocate for nuclear disarmament, emphasizing the catastrophic impacts of nuclear weapons testing on his homeland. As a fervent supporter of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), Ambassador Tito works closely with Christian N. Ciobanu, Policy and Advocacy Coordinator for the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) and Co-Founder of Reverse The Trend (RTT): Save Our People, Save Our Planet. Their collaboration has been instrumental in promoting nuclear disarmament and raising global awareness about the humanitarian consequences of nuclear weapons. Ambassador Tito has been involved in several events sponsored by NAPF and RTT, including the 2023 NPT PrepCom side event on the Humanitarian Impact of Nuclear Weapons, where he discussed the long-lasting effects of nuclear testing and the importance of youth engagement in disarmament education​​​​​​.

Franscine Anmontha

Franscine Anmontha Malieitulua, Social Media Coordinator for RTT and a descendant of survivors of the catastrophic Bravo Shot in the Marshall Islands, is a dedicated advocate for nuclear justice. She actively participates in the Utah Marshallese Association and assists youth in her community. Franscine previously worked as a Communications Officer with the Republic of the Marshall Islands National Nuclear Commission, where she designed a social media campaign to raise awareness of the nuclear legacy. She aims to build awareness of nuclear and climate change issues in the Pacific region through civic engagement. Maverick Peter Seda

Maverick Peter Seda, a dedicated youth activist from the Solomon Islands, has been a steadfast advocate for social justice and community development since high school. He currently serves as a Youth Campaigner for RTT and MEI’s Pacific Campaign on the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Maverick works with various youth networks to ensure rural youth voices influence national decisions and coordinates efforts with the Young Entrepreneurs Council of Solomon Islands. His activism includes roles in the Solidarity Youth Movements for West Papua and the Youngsolwara Youth Movement.

Yerdaulet Rakhmatulla

Yerdaulet Rakhmatulla is an accomplished youth activist from Kazakhstan. He is the co-founder of the Steppe Organization for Peace (STOP), a Kazakh youth initiative focused on nuclear justice and youth empowerment in the fields of disarmament and security. By highlighting the long-lasting impacts of Soviet nuclear testing in Kazakhstan, Yerdaulet and STOP seek to advance nuclear justice that promotes a feminist, decolonial, and human-rights-based approach to nuclear issues. Yerdaulet has represented Kazakh youth at many UN working groups and conferences, and also collaborated with UNESCO, CTBTO, IAEA, and many other high-profile international organizations. He also served as a Member of the Nuclear Security Delegation for the Future to the 2024 International Conference on Nuclear Security (ICONS).
