Meet the Youth Coordinators of RTT SESA!

muhammad Amir Ruzain bin abu bakar (MALAYSIA)

Muhammad Amir Ruzain bin Abu Bakar is a third-year LLB student at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Beyond academics, he has fervor for learning and enjoy watching movies and delving into books of various genres. Since embarking on my legal education journey in 2020, my interests have expanded to encompass the captivating field of Public International Law and international geopolitics. As a global citizen, he believes it is imperative to stay informed about current global affairs. Witnessing how international law regulates the behavior and relations of those in positions of power has been both enlightening and motivating, aligning with his dream of becoming a diplomat.

Since 2022, Muhammad has passionately taken on the role of representing the youth's perspective on issues related to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). Together, Muhammad aspires to be the driving force behind tangible and meaningful change. It is his fervent hope that our generation will lead the way toward the ultimate goal of achieving a nuclear-free world, a mission that we approach with dedication and determination.

Meet Our Members!

Adam Danial bin Azahari (Malaysia)

Adam Danial bin Azahari is a fan of Star Wars and enjoys Middle Eastern literature. He enjoys his time alone, yet he is committed to continuous personal and professional growth that have earned him accolades such as First Runner Up in the ALSA Malaysia Mediation Competition 2022 and Best Mediation Plan Award. His passion for mental health is demonstrated by his certification as a Certified Mental Health Advocate from Social Community Programs Urban Society.

A firm believer in the importance of social justice, Adam has participated in volunteering programs supporting underprivileged and marginalized communities in Malaysia. He has been deeply influenced by Anne Frank's view of the world, particularly her quote, “How wonderful it is that nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” This belief drives him to make a difference in people’s lives, in any way he can.

Currently, Adam is a final year law student at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and is about to start his internship at the Asian International Arbitration Centre. He also holds a position as a digital subcommittee at the Inns of Court Malaysia.

Nurul Iz'zah binti Ishak (Malaysia)

Nurul Iz'zah binti Ishak is a dedicated advocate for sustainability and renewable energy. With a fervent passion for promoting eco-friendly practices and advancing energy solutions, Nurul has made significant strides in her field. She has actively participated in various sustainability and renewable energy forums, where she has both contributed to and gained valuable insights into the latest industry trends and innovations.

Nurul's commitment to her cause is further exemplified by her hands-on experience as an intern at a leading electricity company.

During her internship, she gained practical knowledge and skills, working on projects that aimed to enhance energy efficiency and integrate renewable energy sources.

Beyond her advocacy for general sustainability, Nurul is also a proponent of nuclear disarmament. She believes that a sustainable future not only involves renewable energy solutions but also requires addressing the risks associated with nuclear weapons. She actively advocates for the reduction and elimination of nuclear arsenals, promoting the idea that true sustainability encompasses both environmental stewardship and global peace. Her proactive approach and dedication to sustainable energy and nuclear disarmament underscore her potential to make a lasting impact in the field.

Seri Munirah (Singapore)

Seri Munirah Binti Salim is a fourth-year law undergraduate at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). She has spearheaded numerous advocacy events and projects, notably working with Burmese and Myanmar child refugees through the Tell Me A Story Too initiative in Kuala Lumpur x Jordan and has led the inaugural International Islamic Banking and Finance competition at the Asian International Arbitration Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

During her previous internship at Shearn Delamore & Co., Seri Munirah provided crucial research and advisory support for a major international corruption case, honing her research skills. Additionally, her participation in the C. Vis Willem Competition provided her with invaluable experience.

In her community, Seri Munirah has held several leadership positions, including with the Youth Local Chapter Jurong Grassroots Community Zone C. Her contributions have been recognized with a Gold Award in the Students’ Role in Community Entrepreneurship Development Program (University in Action Symposium) 2023, as well as the prestigious Goh Chok Tong NextGen Outstanding Student Leader Award.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of multinational agreements in nuclear disarmament, Seri Munirah is ready to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to the cause.
