NAPF and RTT Youth Activists

  • Husain Wariach

Husain Waraich is an International Studies major at Rhodes College with a strong interest in policymaking and legal reform at both the international and local levels. His commitment to these issues is reflected in his work with the NAPF and its youth initiative, RTT: he attended and reported on the 81st session of the UN General Assembly and, notably, the General Debate during High-Level Week; and he is promoting youth involvement in the First Review Conference of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

  • Hadia Choudhary

Hadia Choudhary is an NYU student focused on public policy, data science, and social impact. She is the founder of a youth-led 501(c)(4) advocating to end the Uyghur genocide. She serves as the president of The Social Justice Art Project at NYU. She is also a poet and has performed across the country and traveled with the NYU Honors Program to Florence and Abu Dhabi. Over the past couple of years, she has completed several internships and worked with a mental health app and a tech-based startup, as well as on research-based projects. She is also deeply connected to the professional and academic network at the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

  • Elan Zakim

Elan Zakim is an NYU student studying political science and Middle Eastern studies, focusing on international relations, U.S. foreign policy, and Middle East politics. He writes for IR Insider, a student-led NYU paper on International political issues. His academic and professional interests include U.S. foreign relations, Middle East politics, Arabic literature, and history. He hopes to continue working in international affairs and pursue a career in journalism, policy research, and political analysis focused on the Middle East and U.S. foreign policy.

  • Rory Kurzenberger

Rory Kurzenberger is an undergraduate student at New York University studying International Relations and History. Her concentration is in conflict resolution, though she is passionate about humanitarian affairs as well. Rory has been writing for NYU’s International Relations news publication, IR Insider, for over two years, covering both Sub-Saharan African and Eastern-Central European affairs. She strives to build a well-rounded understanding of foreign politics and current affairs, approaching conflict resolution from both a logistical perspective as well as one of historical and cultural understanding. In April, she attended the 2026 NPT Review Conference as a youth delegate for Reverse the Trend, and on September 1 she attended the first ever International Meeting on Victim Assistance and Environmental Remediation with NAPF.
