Welcome Georgetown Students!
We are Reverse The Trend (RTT), a youth initiative of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF), a 501(c)(3) organization with consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Committee and recognition as a peace messenger organization. We are recruiting motivated Georgetown University students to join us in working towards a nuclear-weapon-free world.
RTT amplifies the voices of young people, especially from frontline communities affected by nuclear weapons and climate change. We focus on raising awareness about the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), which bans the development, testing, and use of nuclear weapons and establishes an international trust fund to support victims of nuclear testing, such as the Pacific Islands and Kazakhstan. Through global disarmament and support for affected communities, we aim to prevent future nuclear warfare and foster lasting change.
Third Meeting of States Parties on the TPNW (March 3–7, 2024)
We will be participating in the United Nations Third Meeting of States Parties. This meeting provides a crucial platform for advocacy, discussions, and collaboration between member states and non-governmental organizations such as NAPF and RTT to ensure a nuclear-free future. We are seeking university students to attend and actively participate, with potential opportunities to deliver impactful statements.
